L.K. Advani has flipped the Telangana issue to the side of the Congress. Furthermore, he challenged the UPA government to bring in a bill for the separation of state in the coming parliament session if the government is serious over the issue. He was addressing a public meeting in Hyderabad as his Bharat Sraksha Yatra has reached there.
However, Advani refrained from speaking the general stand of BJP over the issue of separation of Telangana. It is pertinent to note that the BJP president had earlier supported the Telangana issue but Advani preffere to remain shut over this. Speaking to the masses he reiterated his commitment to smaller states. But he was more focused on the differences between the TRS and the Congress.
After Telangana he moved to the issue of naxalism. He accused the UPA government that they realized it late that how grave is the problem of naxalism. He further said the government was late to realize that the Maoist were the greatest danger to India’s internal security. He also addressed the issue and plight of the farmers.
Despite of the fact that Congress is struggling to come at terms over the Telangana issue, seems to have not much troubled by the latest hue and cry created by Advani.
